The summer season has officially kicked off! I am ready to spend more time outside, host a few bbqs, spend evenings catching fireflies with the kids and just truly enjoy the season!
We have been hard at work all weekend getting our back porch summer ready! It was the year to restain the deck boards and the bit of elbow grease truly paid off. After that daunting task was done, dried and cured for a few days, it was time to move all our furniture back on the porch. I splurged on some new cushions this year and freshened up the porch with some beautful white flowers that will bloom all summer long! Welcome to our summer back porch!
Everything is the same as I had last year, the only thing different is the seat and back cushions that were replaced with new white ones and I also spray painted the small drum table white {it used to be navy}. It was an easy and cheap update!
I filled the space with flowers that will bloom all summer long…white double impatients, begonias, and my favorite small plant, a Cerveza n’ Lime plant that smells so good and keeps the mosquitos away.
No outdoor space is complete without string lights! We have had these hung for several years and love turning them on at night. The soft glow is so pretty to spend a summer night under and softens up the whole space at night.
We are looking forward to spending many days and nights out here! Cheers to another season of summer!
