Can you believe that Thanksgiving is a week away? I am getting a break from hosting this year and we are headed out of town for the holiday but I wanted to share a simple Thanksgiving tablescape. You don’t have to go all crazy to create a simple place setting. You know me, simple is best. This took me 10 minutes to put together and I shopped the house and used my fall decor.
First, up is a simple farmhouse runner. I snagged this grain sack runner with a simple black stripe at the Country Living Fair in June but found a similar one here. I actually keep this runner on my table all year. It is a great neutral base for all year long and works well with every season.
I am seriously crushing on my new vase from the Hearth & Hand by Magnolia line at Target. I got the one in the smokey gray color and it goes perfectly with my neutral decor. I picked up a bunch of fresh eucalyptus leaves at my grocery store for $6 and let them dry out naturally in the vase. It couldn’t be a more perfect centerpiece! Then, I placed 2 large heirloom pumpkins from Trader Joe’s on either side of the vase. Voila! Your fall centerpiece!
For each place setting, I used our everyday white dishes. I like to keep everything nice and casual. I placed a napkin in the center of the plate with a small ghost pumpkin on top. Again, I shopped the house and used the pumpkins I had in my dough bowl for the fall.
And there you have it! A simple, farmhouse tablescape ready for your Thanksgiving guests! I would remove the vase and eucalyptus when we sit down for dinner but I love the statement it makes when your guests enter your home! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
