No Thanksgiving meal is complete without mashed potatoes! I love this dish because you make it the night before so you aren’t slaving away in the kitchen all Thanksgiving day! This is my late mother-in-law’s recipe and the dish that completes our dinner! My go-to mashed potato recipe that I hope y’all will enjoy as well!
GARLIC MASHED POTATOES
5-6 pounds Russet potatoes, peeled and cut
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz sour cream
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons garlic salt
Place the potatoes in salted walted and bring to a boil. Cook until soft. Beat cream cheese in large mixing bowl and then stir in sour cream, milk and garlic salt. Drain potatoes and mash in pot, stir in cream cheese mixture. Place in covered baking dish and refrigerate a day before. Bake covered in oven at 350 for 45 minutes.
