Today, I wanted to share the progress of our DIY Master Closet. If you missed my post on the before, check it out here.
I truly always love sharing the details of how we build something so you too can do it at home yourself, but this closet was way too complicated to share every exact step and measurement. First, all closets are different as is everyone’s skill level. I will share what we used, where we purchased some key materials from as well as the final cost.
After lots, and I mean lots, of measurements, and mulitple drawings on paper, handy hubby began working from the ground up. He first layed the bases for the cabinets and then built them, section by section in our basement. The only thing he did not build were the drawers which were custom ordered from a company he found online. Then it was nailing and securing everything in place and then finally, lots of caulking and sanding before priming and two coats of paint.
In my final blog post on this DIY, I will reveal the closet all completed and painted and share all the details and more!

What did you use to cover the plywood edge?

We used strips of wood cut to size that were paintable. There are also adhesive strips that you can do.
