It all goes up and then must come down! Whether you take down your Christmas tree and decor on the 26th or leave it all up until after New Year’s, it all has to go somewhere! Over the years, I have gotten better about investing in storage bins and containers to hold all the decor and more related to Christmas! My tip for organizing in general is to make sure everything has a designating space and Christmas decor is no exception! It will also make it so much easier next year when it is time to pull it all out and decorate again! Here are my go to storage items for Christmas decor!
WREATH STORAGE – It took me a few years of brushing off dust that collected on my wreaths to finally break down and buy a storage bag for them! I love this one as it is durable, has a nice zipper, a handle and doesn’t break the bank! This will hold a wreath up to 24″.
STORAGE CONTAINER – A large storage container is perfect for holding all the extra decor like small trees, stockings, and garland. One that is clear is ideal so you can see what exactly is there when it comes time to decorate.
ORNAMENT STORAGE – Yep! I used to put all the ornaments in one bin and pray for the best! A dedicated storage bin with separators for each ornaments is a must. It protects the ones that are breakable and keeps them from getting tangled. This one holds up to 80 ornaments.
TREE STORAGE – We have two faux trees and a large storage tote is ideal for protecting them from dust and keeping them in tact for years to come. This storage tote even has wheels which is nice when transferring it from the living room to storage
LIGHT STORAGE – Keep all your lights strands and cords untangled and protected with this storage box! It has 3 storage reels for lights and cords that tuck right into this storage bag! It can store mini lights or classic bulb strands and extension cords.
WRAPPING STORAGE – A dedicated wrapping storage bin for only Christmas wrap and bows is a great way to keep it all organized and ready for the next year. It is much easier to keep inventory when it comes time to restock all the Christmas wrapping supplies. I love this one as it has storage for rolls of paper, bows, gift tags and more!
*When you take down your holiday decor, purge items that you did not use that year or anything that has been broken or chipped. Its the best time to purge and get rid of things so you have a fresh start for the next year!
