This is a collaborated post with Homesense. All opinions are my own.
With summer comes lots of outdoor time! We truly love spending as much time as we can on our back porch, whether it’s to enjoy a cup of coffee on a lazy morning or to watch the kids catch fireflies on a summer night! We were way overdue for a refresh and I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to work with Homesense on just that!
I love shopping at Homesense for its amazing, high quality, brand name merchandise that won’t break the bank! I love our outdoor furniture pieces and only needed some accents for a bit of refresh. I knew it wouldn’t be hard to find some decor pieces there such as outdoor throw pillows, lanterns, planters and more.
After flipping through one of my favorite high end store catalogs, {can you guess which one?} I was on a mission to create a space with more bank for its buck. A space full of coastal blues and stripes, white flowers and one that felt like an extension of our indoors.
I had just gotten this outdoor rug that anchored this whole space so it was easy to pull other pieces in to complete this space. I found some beautiful outdoor throw pillows in coastal blue stripes and solids and then a patterned pillow at Homesense that matched perfectly.
I was also on the hunt for two white planters! I wanted ones that were classic and timeless looking and got lucky and found two of these! They were the perfect size for our porch and I love the height! I filled them each with white impatiens, which are beautiful flowers that will bloom all summer long!
I also fell in love with these weathered gray wooden lantern! I placed a battery operated outdoor candle in it and it gives off a perfect warm glow on summer nights!
Lastly, they had a great selection of coastal style beach towels/blankets and I couldn’t resist scooping one up! I loved the tassel detail on the end of this one and simply draped it over the arm of our outdoor chair.
We have already spent countless days and nights out here and can’t wait to spend many more! With a few new decor pieces and accents, you can refresh your space for a season of outdoor living.
