It’s the season to give and today I am sharing a few simple tips on wrapping your gifts this holiday season!
1. Pick at least 2-3 coordinating papers. I find pretty papers at my local Home Goods, Marshall’s or TJ Maxx. I find they have very high quality paper for a great price per roll. I love using black and white designs, pretty neutrals or even a gray and white buffalo check. Pick something simple, yet unexpected that will stand out under the tree from all the rest.
2. Skip the traditional store bought bow and wrap your packages with baker’s twine, thick yarn or long strips of fabric scraps. I always hit up the dollar spot at Target or check the scrapbooking section in store for baker’s twine. Home Goods also always has large rolls of twine or chunky yarn that coordinates well with papers.
3. Lastly, don’t forget the finish touch! Candy canes to enjoy later, simple greenery or an ornament they can place on their tree are all perfect finishing touches!
BONUS TIP: A bottle of wine is always an easy choice for a last minute hostess gift. Ditch the traditional wine bag and wrap the wine bottle in a pretty hand towel. It’s the perfect hostess gift…two gifts in one!
I hope these simple tips are helpful in getting all your gifts ready for the season! ‘Tis the season to give!
