It’s the holiday season and honestly even before putting up our tree, I decorate our front porch. I kept things sweet and simple this year and did not add garland around my doors like I did last year. Honestly it was a mess and kept falling down! I ditched it for simplicity and I am truly loving it!
I kept the same layered door mats I have had since last year. A wool neutral stripe from the Studio McGee line for Target {sorry, it’s sold out!} and a coir welcome mat from the Hearth & Hand line for Target {also sold out} but you can easily find similar ones. For our double doors, I always layer with a 3×5 size rug and then top with a standard welcome mat.
To our doors, I added these new wreaths I picked up from Target. They are also from the Studio McGee line. They are beautiful and so well made and will last year after year. I plan on removing the bells and keeping them up through the winter season.
I always struggle with what to put in my planters during the winter season. I grabbed these premade pots from Home Depot. They are full of fresh greenery and pinecones and if kept well watered should last the season. I replaced my white pots for these wicker resin ones and truly love the change. I also pulled up from storage these beautiful wood lanterns I have honestly never used. I bought them many years ago at a home decor store in Nashville. I added a battery operated candle that is on a timer so they cast a warm glow in the evenings.
That’s it! Sweet, simple and ready to welcome guests throughout the holiday season! Happy Holidays!
