‘Tis the season to…DECORATE! I am so excited to finally share our home all decked out for the holidays! I did change a few things up this year and I am truly loving the changes I made! First up, our front porch…
Every year, I usually score beautiful boxwood wreaths from Trader Joe’s for all 3 of our front porch doors. Unfortunately, I was a few days late this year and they only had a mixed greenery wreath with pinecones. I truly do love them and plan on leaving them out all winter long. I kept the same striped black and white ribbons as I used last year.
This year I used fresh cedar garland than the pine garland I have the past few years! The cedar garland was much nicer to work with as it didn’t make nearly as much as a mess and I love how it drapes and falls across our threshold.
Our porch lanterns were given a festive touch by a simple satin ribbon tied to the top.
Lastly, I went and bought a 3-4 foot tree from our local grocery store {Home Depot had them too!}. They came with a small stand and we stuck the whole thing right in my olive bucket! I truly do love the simple, festive touch it adds to our porch!
Here is one more side view of our front doors! As always, I am keep things sweet and simple this year and it starts with the front porch!

Next up, is our family room space! You know me, I keep things sweet and simple and this space was no exception. This year I added a few new touches such as fresh cedar garland to our mantle and the sweetest little trees that I found at Target.
I truly love the pop of green the cedar garland adds to our neutral space! What I added to the mantle was leftover from the garland I had hung over our front porch doors. It was just enough for our fireplace mantle and so far it is going strong! I do mist it with water every few days. I added my treasured set of antlers from the Nashville Flea Market to the center and it is just the perfect, yet subtle touch.
I love this antler pillow that I snagged last year from PCB Home. I actually keep this out all winter long and during the holiday season it goes well with my reindeer theme I have going on in this space.
On the other side of the fireplace, I have this wood sign I made last year at a local AR Workshop. It was such a fun night out and the sign is just perfect for this space. Last year I snagged a King of Christmas 3 foot flocked tree that fits perfectly in my olive bucket. My poor fiddle leaf fig tree got moved to my bedroom for the season and this was its replacement. I love this tree so much and actually bought a large white flocked tree this year for our family room.
Lastly, I scored this sweet, burlap wrapped flocked trees at Target for $3! They come in 3 different sizes and this is the small one. They were too cute to pass up and are the perfect touch to our coffee table. They can really go anywhere and I loved that they are wrapped in burlap. You can also place them in a size pot or vase as well.

Last but not least, I added a few touches to our kitchen. I honestly have never decorated our kitchen in the past and you don’t need to go all out either! Simple is always best and I truly love the small Christmas touches I added this year. Since our home is an open concept it really tied together everything well and made the whole space a lot more festive!
This year, I really wanted to add a wreath to the backsplash above our oven. I had a few inspo pics and picked up a live wreath from a local garden center. One command strip later and I absolutely was obsessed! It truly added such a festive touch to the kitchen and I loved the pop of green against all our white cabinetry. Well, talk about a big fat fail! Two days later and the wreath was a brown, ugly mess! Yep! Every time I was using our oven, it was drying out the wreath! Our Wolf oven has vents in the back that release steam every time it is heating. Well, that basically killed our wreath in two days! While I still loved the look, I decided to go to faux and picked up a beautiful wreath from the Hearth & Hand line at Target! Just a pretty and will last forever! Lesson learned!
Other small touches I added were some fresh evergreens to a vase! I picked up a whole bunch of greenery at Trader Joe’s for $5 and used it throughout the house. I love the simplicity of it in a simple white vase! And it honestly smelled so good!
I also added another of the small burlap flocked trees I snagged at Target! These were a steal at $3 each and I have them placed all over the house! Such a nice festive touch for the season!
I truly love the little touches of Christmas added to our kitchen! The countdown is on to Christmas and entertaining!
